It's Not Friday, It's Fri-Yay!

This is what my daughter told me this morning when I woke her up.  I thought it was pretty cute.  I had set out this morning with high hopes for my five mile Friday.

I got up and was getting ready.  I was pleased that I was finally going to be getting my run in first thing in the morning, as I have been super slacking lately and then it hit me hard.  The sudden pounding in my head that could only mean one thing.  And then I noticed my legs trying to cramp up on me too... Dammit.. I had a migraine from hell and cramps from dehydration.  So, sadly, all the clothes came off and I went back to bed for a while with more water and some Excedrin Migraine.  It was a bad morning after that.  Not so much in the morning part of it, I just felt a little dizzy and somewhat not really ready to be a part of the world.
Didn't make it out the door, but I love my shirt.. Wonder Woman

Off to work I go and I stop at the store for some water.  I needed a bigger bottle since the one that I had been using is just not cutting it for me.  So, I get some more.  At lunch time, I take me a little walk around the park to get some miles in.  It was windy as can be too.  So I left the wind take my hair and just play with it and love it and give it some body... And then, back to work I went.

Once home again, after 7, I had to do some talking to my daughter about taking responsibility about our actions or inaction as the case may be, and then I got to go for a little run.  It wasn't long and let me tell why.  I have this thing about dogs and being on a leash.  There are few things that make me crazier than having to deal with a dog charging me because the owner of said dog thinks it's ok, and that the laws and rules don't apply to them about keeping the dogs on a leash.  I get out and start my run, and it's going well.. my pace is on point, I'm going to do a nice timed run and feeling like I am doing well.  And then I notice a person walking in the old campground with a flash light.  Not a big deal until I see that they have a dog with them.  To my surprise, the dog has a light attached to it's collar so I can see the dog running full bore at us.  And as soon as I stop, the dog stops.  I wait for a minute to see what said dog will do and ti was no surprise to find that the owner was walking the dog without the leash on them.  Now for what ever reason they have for them not having a leash on their dog, I am getting so sick of this shit happening all the time.  There is no respect for others in this town.  People just naturally assume that if they have a dog and it's in nature, they don't have to obey the leash laws.  Nope, nope nope... I'm done.

So, this weekend will find me purchasing bear spray to carry with me on my runs now to help keep me and my Yolandi Dog safe.  Other people don't see how it feels to have a strange dog charge them because their dog is in heat, well, they will now have to find out what it's like to have someone defend themselves against said dogs.  And I was hot.  I was so mad I just turned around and started running again.  I let my anger boil within me and keep me going.  But, I will deal with this now.
Much Happier Now

Good night for now.. Until we speak again... Run Happy All~
