Sunday Fun Day

Image
This morning, I was not wanting to get out of bed for my run.  I was nice and cozy in my bed, the dog was having fun trying to eat my hand, and then glared at me to get up (guess she knew she was coming with me today) and it was cold outside.  Most of the time, when people hear the state, Arizona, they think of the desert. And if I was to do a google search this would be one of the first photos that I would see as well.  This is not where I live though.  I had to put the town's name in the search bar before I could see any of the views that my mountain offers.   Well, I finally got my ass out of bed and started to motivate.  It was going to be a slow start due to it being cold, but that also meant that I got to wear my awesome fleece lined leggings to run in again, and they are so soft and warm and comfy.  I had also just got some new soft warm shirts for running too, so I got to layer that on.  I even had to warm up my car before I left...

100 Days Into This

I knew that writing daily was going to be the hardest part of this for me.  Once again, I have found myself in a dilemma with regards to writing... Mostly, that I haven't been doing it as much as I had set out to do.  I feel like I have taken a lot on and it could be cause for some stress in my life.  With that being said, running has not fallen by the way side in any way.  I have enjoyed it a great deal and have actually reached some milestones of the personal kind since my last entry. It has been just over a month since I was writing on a daily basis.  I have started running in the mornings with a friend named Hanna. I am very grateful for someone who wants to go run first thing in the morning and wants to do it on a regular basis.  It is keeping me going knowing that someone else is looking to me for guidance.  I want to be good for them, but it has a way of keeping myself accountable to myself as well.  I like being better than what I was yest...

A Slow Pace

I have been slacking on my writing.  It's terrible, I know, but life has been going on lately.  For now, I am going to talk about my runs but also I am feeling like I need to vent so there will be that as well. About two weeks ago, I was at Piper's soccer game with a friend of mine and I was saying that I needed to start running in the mornings again.  She said she needed to do the same, so that Wednesday following, we began to run together in the mornings.  Rather, I run to her house, we go for our morning run/walk and then I run home.  It's been amazing being able to get my miles in so early and I am loving it.  The sunrises are so pretty and I feel so good and alive when I finish them.  It's like heaven for me.  So, tomorrow will mark my two weeks of running in the morning, in fact there has been only one day that we didn't do something.  I have run more than 900 kilometers at this point, not something I have ever thought I could do.
