Tonight, I waited until the last light had been out of the sky before I decided to go for my walk. I took the dog with me, she was pretty happy about that.
Why did I wait so long. Well, this afternoon my husband and I went out for some fun times together. We stopped and had lunch around 1.30 or so. We stopped at a store and looked around and then, off to the pet store for crickets for the pet toad. While at the pet store, I have to go over and see the kittens. They are so cute. I always feel bad for the ones that are older, who have been turned in for various reasons. I played a little with a few, one had the softest paws ever, and she was so cute. A little orange tabby cat. I loved all these babies today. Wish I could have taken them home. Fast forward to getting home and I am sitting on the bed, waiting patiently for the toad to make a meal of the crickets. Nothing happens, and then I rub my eye. This is a monumental mistake on my part as I am highly allergic to the animal dander, even if the contact is minimal. My eye starts to itch like crazy and I make a beeline to the bathroom to remove the contacts out of my eyes. The damage has already been done. My right eye is on fire, swollen and the eye ball itself has liquid on it, like a blister of sorts. It's not a fun time. I lay down with a cold facecloth on my eye, and rest for about an hour and some change. I get up, and it's still pretty bad.

By the time 7.30 rolls around, I know that I have to get out there today and make it happen. For the challenge that I am in, it will only count my runs as activity, but this doesn't stop me. I still want to get out, because, really, two miles won't kill me. In fact, I usually feel better after those two miles. So I take the dog with me and we do our walk. Took about 40 minutes, and I forgot the photo of my watch today too. Dammit! Oh well.
I will eat my dinner now and head off to bed, and then, tomorrow morning, but right back out there doing what I love to do. Get those morning miles in so I can spend time with the family when I get home from work. Or go grocery shopping.. and vacuum the downstairs. The dog is shedding so badly, it's turning my beige carpet white from the hair. Until tomorrow morning,
Happy Running All~
