A Slow Tuesday
I did not write yesterday. I nearly didn't go out at all today. Why? Well, yesterday I was tired when I got home and decided that spending time with my husband and then actually catching up on my sleep was something worth wild. Anyhow, that is neither here nor there. On to my slow Tuesday.
I started out feeling like usual. Slow pace and all. I saw a lot of walkers outside, a few cyclists and only two other runners. It was a nice morning, the air was still very stagnant and felt like I could chew it it was so thick.. I should get a screen shot of the humidity when I go run so you, dear reader, will know my pain. And it's not even close to as bad as some places that are like the Deep South or anywhere near the ocean. I live in Arizona after all, but, when the monsoon season hits, oh I love the feel of the rain on my skin. I saw a lot of others out with their dogs, and I realized that if I wanted to avoid them, I would have to go out earlier. The dog was very curious about other dogs and since we had a mishap a few weeks ago, I am still a bit skittish with the other animals.
In deciding how far to go, I wanted to do about 2.5 miles, so it was an easy run. Upon the return visit to the lake, I noticed that there are some plants that have recently been in bloom since the rain started last week. It was a nice sunflower, so, I took a photo of it. I think I should like to photograph it once or twice a week to see how much it grows as well as how fast.
I struggled with my legs, yet again, so, I didn't have the best time for my run. Still happy with the fact that I got out there to run. I will get better and my legs will feel better. I know this. I am glad for the pain though now. Makes me remember that I can still feel, and there are those who wish they could run, and they can't feel their legs. So for them I run through the pain of stiff muscles.
For now, it's time for some sleep. Good night, and good luck.
Happy Running All~
